I’d been admiring Peepshow Toys for a while as they are a no compromise store that only stock body safe sex toys! Hurray a store that gets it!! If you don’t know about Peepshow Toys, you really oughta. They are a US based company that seriously care about what toys their customers can buy. There are no dodgy jelly toys here! They are also very reasonably priced and are expanding their body safe stock lines all the time. Definitely a store to bear in mind when you’re on the hunt for a new toy! After contact with them, they very kindly sent me the artisanal Avant D4 to road test and to dish out my opinion on it.  First Impressions Once I had the opportunity to open my Avant D4 by Blush Novelties once I had returned home from work, the first thing I noticed was the colour scheme. Wow! The two different shades of pink combined with the black sections really makes this dildo stand out from the crowd. The other thing that you notice when holding the D4 is that is made from silky silicone that is firm yet flexible making its curves and ridges a tempting prospect. Finally the third thing that is instantly noticeable is the deep suction cup located at the base of this jazzy dildo. We should all know by now that I love girth, and this is what the D4 is meant to promise. Now holding the D4 in my hand, I initially did not get this impression but appearances can be deceiving as I have been pleasantly surprised before. However what I was intrigued about straight off the bat was the curves and ridges that this modern dildo has to offer. Although not packed with texture, the ridge just below the head is what was tempting me the most as many dildos that I already own have a ridge here and it is this type of ridge that usually gives me the delicious "pop" sensation when withdrawing almost fully only to have the dildo thrust back in again. To briefly cover the packaging that the D4 comes in; it is fairly minimal with only the smallest amount of plastic. Most of it is card/paper based so most of the packaging can be recycled. The front of the box has the clear plastic window where you can view the D4 in all of its glorious colour as it sits in its plastic moulding. On one side you have the main features of this dildo which include; that each dildo is individually handcrafted, pthalate free and harness compatible. On the other side is the range name AVANT in pink to black fade colouring. The reverse of the box is where the main bulk of the information is kept. This plethora of information includes a brief description of the D4 and how it is aimed for people who love girth (Yay that's me!) and how all Avant dildos are made from platinum cured silicone and that there is a deep and powerful suction cup to the base.  How it Felt Usually I would incorporate some couples time in my testing of toys as my guy likes to be involved with my blog as much as possible. However from a mix of not feeling great lately as well as a bit of an urge to keep this beauty all to myself, he missed out. So this is all from my own solo perspective. As I said above, I was intrigued by the curves and ridges as well as curiosity as to whether the D4 would satisfy me in the girth department, so once I was thoroughly in the mood and with some excited trepidation I lubed up this striped spectacle of a dildo and plunged on in to testing. Yes the pun was definitely intended ;) The first few times I used the D4 I had to try out the suction cup at the base because it is a beast! It's really deep and because of this it has some serious staying power so you can rest assured that it's not gonna come off whilst you're in the middle of a good rhythm to the point where I did think "Umm. Am I gonna be able to get this off?" I don't really have a lot of surfaces at home where I could stick this to as I have far too much crap in our bedroom and lounge. So I had to improvise and grab the biggest, heaviest hardback book I could find, attach it to that and then carefully lower myself on to the D4 and once I was in place, I began to ride it as cautiously as possible. Although caution soon went out of the window. Somehow this rough and ready approach managed to work and despite having small and chunky legs I was able to get up a good rhythm and I was able to experience all the curves and ridges that the description on the box promised. "What about the girth?" I here you ask. Well although not the thickest dildo I have used in sometime I wasn't disappointed either. It has enough girth to satisfy the craving of me being stretched and filled that I so love but it does so without overdoing it. The broad head certainly started things off well and that ridge that I spoke of earlier created by the dildo having such a broad head did indeed create a nice pop, especially when the D4 was quickly thrusted inwards. Down along the shaft there then is a swell of girth before a short respite before towards the base there is the thicker portion which really stretches and pushes you open. Suffice it to say that I thoroughly enjoyed riding the D4; especially when teamed up with one of my favourite vibrators. *Shivers at the memory of the orgasms* When using the D4 in a laid down position I got to enjoy all of the above but at a more relaxed pace as I tend to get a little carried away when going for a ride. I would possibly say that I even enjoyed holding on to the D4 and slowly thrusting it in and out more than riding it (probably due to the absence of leg burn). I found I was able to focus on the delectable feeling of being almost completely filled by the ridges and the swells and curves that this ridiculously pretty dildo has to offer. Care and Storage
Phew! After all that, I guess I had better let you know I look after mine. Well I always wash my toys before and after use, using an antibacterial/antimicrobial foam wash for toys as well as using hot water. Being silicone, there are so many ways of keeping them hygienic; boiling, soaking them in a mild bleach solution, popping them in the dishwasher (not with your plates and mugs though). However I like to give them a good wash and either let them air dry or I'll pat them dry using a lint free cloth seeing as silicone attracts lint like nobody's business! Storage wise; again I keep it simple, I store my D4 along with all my Tantus dildos in my toy box well away from all more spiky and kinky implements which could damage the dildo. Final Conclusion I don't think I can find anything to whinge about here with the D4. It has a striking colour scheme without being garish, its girthy without being unrealistic, it has satisfying undulations to its design and its made from silicone which is body safe and won't cause you any issues. If you're after a dildo that can satisfy you whether you sit on it, hold onto it, use it in a harness whilst looking good doing it, I heartily recommend you giving the Avant D4 a go.
