The Satisfyer Pro Plus Vibration was sent to me by Satisfyer in exchange for an honest and impartial product review which by no means changes my thoughts on the item.
When the lovely team over at Satisfyer got in touch with me before Christmas to ask if I would be interested in reviewing their newest additions to their range; it was a resounding yes from me! Seeing as how I loved the previous three toys they very kindly sent to me, I was keen to see what they had come up with this time. Just after Christmas and New Year I received a lovely package all the way from Germany with the three new models for me to test and review as well as duplicates to either give to friends and family or to run giveaways on my blog.
The Satisfyer Pro Plus Vibration is designed to be everything that makes a Satisfyer toy great but with the marvellous addition of vibrations! On the face of it the Pro Plus looks like a funky banana or boomerang shape although the nerd in me is kinda reminded of a phaser weapon from Star Trek! The button controls are easily visible and its obvious what button controls which function. The buttons are coloured in the rose gold effect that we have come to associate with the Satisfyer range and this along with the white silicone body and nozzle of the Pro Plus just helps lift the toy into the luxury look that is both stylish but simplistic. The Pro Plus also looks fairly ergonomic to hold and use, much like its fellow models which again, is something that we have come to expect from Satisfyer.
The Pro Plus itself is a doddle to charge as you line up the magnetic charging lead to the matching contact points on the toy, plug into either a PC or plug adaptor and away you go. When charging the power button will flash with a white light and once fully charged this light will stay on. A full charge should take around 2 hours to complete but for its initial charge it can take up to 8 hours. Its recommended that from a full charge you should be able to have up to 2 hours of playtime.
I'll briefly cover the packaging; not much has changed in the Satisfyer style of packaging. It's still all clean and white with a couple of images on the front and back with the toy's features on both ends of the box. The box also comes with Hygienic seals on both ends to reassure you that this is a brand new product that has never been opened. Inside the minimalist design box and your find: 1 x Satisfyer Pro Plus Vibration, 1 x magnetic charging lead & 1 x instruction manual that comes in 10 languages.
How it Felt
From experience with previous Satisfyer toys, I know that applying a little bit of water based lube always helps with these air pressure /suction toys as the lube helps create a seal between the nozzle and the area surrounding your clitoris. So naturally I followed this same procedure. Now I prefer to get toys like the Pro Plus into position first before switching them on. There's nothing to say that you can't position in whilst the toy is running, not at all. This is just a personal preference of mine.
To turn the Pro Plus on and off, just press on hold briefly the power button. The Pro Plus will always start at the lowest intensity setting and its down to the user to scroll up and down through the 11 that the Pro Plus has to offer using the + and - buttons. Some people prefer a toy to start mid way in intensity levels however I prefer things to start off nice and gentle so this suits me just fine.
Having had the pleasure of using Satisfyer toys before, I knew what to expect and the Pro Plus is no different, once switched on, I experienced the familiar and subtle fluttering sensation around and on my clitoris. Oh I was a happy woman, even on setting 1 I felt the beginnings of an orgasm starting to build. Up went the intensity levels to around 4 or 5 and unlike previous toys from Satisfyer there wasn't such a big jump in sensation like there used to be. It was more of a steady increase that you would naturally expect so for me this is a big improvement. Around level 5 or 6 is where my clitoris and I are happy being as this provides enough stimulation to allow me to orgasm without over doing it and preventing me from enjoying the build up.
If you fancy changing it up slightly there is the option to switch the vibration function on, to do this just press and hold the squiggle button and the same to switch this function off. You have 10 vibration functions to choose from and I prefer either the slowest steady setting or the oscillation function. However I found the vibrations to be a little buzzy and honestly I don't think that this additional function adds too much to the toy itself. It's nice to have but certainly not crucial to the Pro Plus' purpose.
As with previous experience with Satisfyer models I was able to keep the Pro Plus right there on my clit without the horrid over sensitive sensation that I tend to experience with vibrators. So I'm able to lay there and just bask in the glow of endorphins released time and time again. Now the Pro Plus is advertised as being waterproof, however I haven't had the chance to take it into the bath with me just yet but other bloggers have said that it is indeed the case so I will defer to their personal experience on this point. However previous models have been waterproof so there is no reason why this one should be any different.
In previous reviews I have said that Satisfyer toys were not the quietest I'd ever used but certainly not the loudest either. Having compare the Pro Plus to the Pro 2 Next Gen, I would say that there has been a reduction in motor noise which at the end of the day helps to keep things nice and discreet. When used under a duvet or blanket, you'd hardly notice any noise - expect from maybe yourself of course!
Care and Storage
Being comprised of ABS plastic and silicone, the Pro Plus is dead easy to look after and store. Personally before and after each use I recommend popping the head off of the nozzle as it is removable and washing with a good antibacterial sex toy cleaner and rinsing and either allowing to air dry or pat dry using a lint free cloth.
With regards to storage; I am currently keeping my Pro Plus in its box simply as I need to sort through my toy box and drawers. However once this has been organised, I will probably keep it in a drawer with my other Satisfyer and silicone toys. Should your nozzle become damaged or just worn in time, Satisfyer may be bringing out replacement heads for the Pro Plus as this is something that they do with their other models so watch this space!
Well having had some experience with 3 models prior to getting my sticky mitts on the Pro Plus, I would have to say there has definitely been an improvement here. The nozzle seems a little bigger and the air pressure motor certainly seems quieter. The good thing is that Satisfyer have kept this model USB rechargeable, so if you're like me and hate using insertable and/or disposable batteries, this is big plus point. Probably the only slight issue I have is the vibrations that this toy has, if they were more rumbly and less buzzy we'd have an all out winner here.
Overall the Satisfyer Pro Plus itself is well made and the air pressure technology can be relied upon to wring several decent orgasms out of me with relative ease and needless to say I thoroughly enjoyed using it.
