A beautiful Magic Wand sent to me by So Divine in exchange for an honest and impartial product review.
This will be the third installment of my So Divine experience and I feel that I may have saved the best 'til last with the Wicked Game Magic Wand. As this item seems to offer a lot of bang for your buck, I felt that this is going to be one heck of a diverse product that will come in handy; and not just for orgasmic purposes!
So Divine are a relatively new company to the sex toy market but despite their newness, they are coming on strong with a catalogue of damn good products and as new products seem to be added regularly, I really do think that they are a company to watch. Probably the best aspect of So Divine's ethos is that they want to bring sexual pleasure out in the open and dispel the stigma surrounding sex toys, not to mention that they only use body safe materials, which is damn fantastic as no one wants horrid unstable chemicals leeching out of their toys and into their body!
When I first clapped eyes on the Wicked Game, I can safely say it was love at first sight, although I already had a wand, this one is far more attractive to look at. For a start it's purple, now I know that some people think purple is an overused colour but to be fair so black, pink etc. Anyway I love purple so for me this was just an added bonus. It's gentle curve is a beautiful organic shape that gives it a non imposing feel to it and for me anyway it feels quite ergonomic when held.
The surface of the Wicked Game is entirely silicone which is super silky smooth to the touch which is great for newbies to sex toys and for dab hands alike. The size of the wand is in my view anyway not too big and cumbersome nor is it too small and fiddly.
Another noticeable feature of the Wicked Game Magic Wand is that it is cordless so there's no falling over damn power cords and nearly taking out the furniture when you're done playing and can't be arsed to pack up. As you can tell that has happened to me far too many times to be funny anymore. The Wicked Game is also USB rechargeable, for my avid readers, you'll know that this aspect in particular pleases me a lot. Anyway I'm gonna stop there before I get into an war on waste rant that has no purpose here!
The outer packaging that the Wicked Game comes in is a lot more sturdier than the other products that I have previously reviewed in so far that the box is rigid and the wand itself is held within a foam recess with the plug adaptor that comes with it also held by the foam. Underneath the foam is the magnetic USB charging lead and a lovely plum coloured storage bag to keep your Wicked Game in if you so wish.
The box itself by the way keeps with the theme of So Divine in that on the front is the image of the product itself, on the reverse is a quick rundown on how to use the Wicked Game once you have it home and are ready to treat yourself / your partner. On one side of the exterior packaging is a short description giving you an idea of what the Wicked Game has in store for its owner and on the opposite side you are given its main features including the number of patterns and vibration speeds.
How it Felt
As a creature of habit, I always fully charge my rechargeable toys before I use them for the first time as in my mind this is just practice as the small amount of charge that is there when you first get them home is there to protect the life of the lithium ion battery. Like with many magnetic rechargeable toys available, this is a doddle to charge, just match up the points on the charging lead to the matching points on the back of the wand and provided you have your charging lead either plugged into a main adaptor or to your PC/laptop, you're golden. When the item is charging there is a small blue LED that will flash, once fully charged this same LED will stay on. I would say that a full charge takes around 1.5 - 2 hours and from this you should get an average run time of 2 hours which should last you many rounds of pleasure before you need to charge again.
To switch the magic wand on press and hold the power button which is kinda shaped like a pair of brackets () and the LED will come on and the wand will start vibrating on its base setting at the head end to switch off press and hold the same button. To change program you'll need to press the △ button and this will allow you to cycle through the 3 vibration speeds and patterns that are on offer there. Should you at any time wish to change end and use the more pointed end that could be used internally simply press the ∇ button to change to this motor and cycle through the same speeds and patterns as the head end.
Like the previous So Divine vibes I have previously reviewed I seem to favour the slow build with and without the momentary pause over the more typical steady and pulse vibration patterns. At the end of the day, I think with the 7 patterns that are offer, there is probably something to suit pretty much everyone here. When pressed against my clit the head end distributed the vibrations evenly to include the surrounding area to stimulate as many of my nerve endings as possible. As a result, I am able to fulfilling orgasms without the vibrational overstimulation that I can be prone to even at the best of times.
The more pointed end of the Wicked Game is aimed for those pin point needs whether you choose to use this for internal use or for more massage needs. I personally find that the motor in the more pointed end is stronger and more powerful and this translates into a delicious and strong vibration that combined with the curved shape and a good quality water based lube could result in incredible G-Spot orgasms, sadly I rarely have success in that department hence why I said "could".
Aside from using the magic wand for sexual pleasure whether this is for solo or fore play reasons, the Wicked Game can be used for easing tired and knotted muscles and the vibrations encourage increased blood flow to the area it touches allowing for a deep and satisfying massage which can be very sensual and a great way of starting off an evening of pleasure with your partner.
The Wicked Game is also waterproof and seams that are visible have been thoroughly sealed therefore allowing you to take the pleasure into the bath or shower and as such I had a very enjoyable bath once everyone at home had buggered off out!
The wand is described as being quiet on its packaging and I suppose the head end is compared to similar products including the wand that I had before the Wicked Game came into my life. However the second motor that is at the more pointed end, seems to be more powerful and thereby perhaps a wee bit more noisy. But it's not overly loud and you can fairly easily muffle the vibration sounds by using under a duvet or quilt, so it's not a big issue but it is something to bear in mind if discretion is key for you.
Care and Storage
Seeing as the Wicked Game is made from silicone which is a very stable material, looking after it is very very simple. I personally rinse the wand top to bottom in very warm water and then lather up with some sex toy cleaning foam and wait for the foam to do it's thing and then rinse off under warm water. To dry I tend to either dry the wand with a lint free cloth or allow the wand to dry on its own. Up to you really.
Regarding storage, I have chosen to keep the Wicked Game in its box for the time being rather than use the storage bag. However if and when space in my toy box becomes more of an issue than it already is, I'll probably swap to using the bag as this will help keep the toy away from our BDSM implements that could and probably would damage the surface of the wand and we really don't want that!
If you're new to wands and don't want to shell out £150 for the leading brand name in magic wands then the Wicked Game is a damn good place to start!
There is a good choice of vibration patterns and speeds to keep most people happy no matter what their preference is. I found this wand great for clitoral stimulation as well as internal use despite the lack of G-Spot action even with the curve of the wand. But that is personal thing for me and I won't let that detract from the opinion I have of this wand.
The Wicked Game is super easy and convenient to use; as there is no cord to get in your way and no faffing around with insertable batteries. It has a good run time of approximately 2 hours, it's has 2 pretty powerful motors to please and massage you, you're also provided with a plug adaptor so you'll always have one to hand if you need to charge it off of the mains. The colour itself is a beautiful shade of plum and combined with the gentle curve, the wand just screams quality.
For me this magic wand is a pure win!
